The PTO Board is hard at work planning a fun filled year for our River Otters. In order to make this year a success, we will be working hard to raise money for the school. We are planning to kick off the year with a Spooky Sprint for every grade and a big fall festival for all students. The Fall Festival will be our big school wide fundraiser for the year. We are also counting on families to join the PTO, as their membership dues help to fund special events for our students and teachers.
As part of the Fall Festival this year, we will be collecting items for a silent auction. If you have a small business, please consider donating items or gift certificates for us to raffle off as a fundraiser for the school. If you don't have a small business, but you would like to purchase items or gift cards for us to use, we welcome them!! Please contact us at riverotters@nkespto.org if you have any questions. If we can raise enough money for NKES from the Fall Festival, that will be our one and only fundraiser for the Fall. Thanks for your support! Our PTO is creating a supply closet from which our teachers can obtain classroom supplies (pencils, glue sticks, tape, staples, crayons, construction paper, etc.) and cleaning supplies (paper towels, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes. You may also send in items with your student to drop off at the main office. Please mark items with "NKES PTO - supply closet."

If your family would like to send in small "treats" such as individually wrapped snacks/drinks to remind our dedicated teachers, in a small but tangible way, that the parents recognize and support their hard work, we are happy to make sure that they end up in the teacher's lounge for them.
